Description
In today’s market, people are more commonly using mobile devices to gather information. Because easily accessible information has become a major part of life through current technology, people look for the quickest, most effective ways to find whatever information they are searching for from movie times to good restaurants to travel routes.
The two major sources of information open to people on mobile devices are mobile apps and mobile websites. Both of these options have advantages, and both are useful to people. Mobile websites, however, do have a slight advantage.
Mobile websites, unlike mobile apps, are device independent. This means that one can access the information on a mobile website from any mobile device. Many mobile apps are restricted to a certain brand of mobile device such as an iPhone or iPod Touch. Another benefit to mobile websites is that they are more cost effective than mobile apps. Also, they are more convenient. If a customer does not believe that they will use an app often enough, they will not bother to download it to their mobile device. The clutter is not worth the amount of use the app will get. Therefore, mobile websites have an advantage because they can all be located on a single browser.
